The peaceful visit of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia, Daniil, to the Ecumenical Patriarchate continues. This morning, December 27, at 9:30 a.m., the Bulgarian Patriarch will preside over the festive liturgy at the Bulgarian church of St. Stephen in Istanbul known as the "Iron Church".

At the invitation of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church community in Turkey, the Vice President of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova, will be a guest at the church’s patronal feast.
This year marks the 155th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian Exarchate.
