Bulgaria ranks among the countries with the highest annual growth in housing prices in the EU, according to Eurostat data for the third quarter of 2025, published today. Housing prices in Bulgaria increased by 15.4% in one year, which places it in third place in the EU after Hungary (21.1%) and Portugal (17.7%).
Comparing the third quarter of 2025 with the same period in 2015, Bulgaria reported a growth in housing prices of over +156%, which places it among the leaders in long-term growth in the property market in the EU. Only Hungary (+275%), Portugal (+169%) and Lithuania (+162%) are ahead of Bulgaria.
